Another reason to paginate your WordPress comments is to maintain the keyword density of your articles. Comments add a lot of content to your post’s page, and they may not always include your target keywords in a sufficient amount.

Paginating comments in WordPress is very easy to do. Just follow these simple steps. To start with, log in to your WordPress dashboard and go to Settings > Discussions > Other comment settings. Check the box where it says Break comments into pages and select the number of comments you want to show on each blog posts. You can also select which page to show the Older or Newer comment. Don’t forget to click on the ‘Save Changes’ button to store your settings.

Paginating comments is probably only a good idea if you set the number relatively high. You probably wouldn’t want to set the number at 5 as I did in my example. But if you set it at 25 or more, then even if you don’t normally get a lot of comments, you’ll be all set if a post does happen to generate more discussion than normal.
