Who Rocks Your Clock?

A Spiritual Dialogue

Canva-Photo by Wendy Wei

Sometimes when the angels
come to visit, they spend
the night in the spare
room listening
to our collection of jazz
records. If God stops by,
we bring out the rock ’n’ roll
and party all night. He
loves to boogie until
the sun rises and everyone
else has fallen to sleep.
I remember once when
my neighbor came by
early one morning to
pick me up for our fishing
trip. He almost had
a heart attack when he
saw God rockin’ around
the clock. He thought that
God only listened to gospel music.
