A poem to you because once you told me that no one knew who you were

You are your hardworking hands that have built houses, grew food, made food, served people. You are those incredible hands that create beautiful works of art, design the future, always thinking in making a better world; your hands have touched my face, my lips, but among anything else, your hands have caressed my soul.

You are your eyes, those eyes that have seen wonders and weariness. Your eyes miraculously transform the darkness in pure and perfect light. Your eyes reflect the best of people because your kind eyes mirror versions of a better world. Your eyes have seen through my flesh and bones and have been able to directly see my soul.

You are your thoughts, those sublime thoughts that champion adversity, that transform sadness into sympathetic and positive thinking. Your thoughts host your dreams and endeavors. Your dreams of a better future for everyone you care for. Your dreams become a reality because you infuse them with the vitality and eagerness to excel and always do what’s best for everyone. Your thoughts have given a direct message to my soul: I have been waiting for you my whole life.

You are your tender heart: a compassionate, altruist, noble and humble heart that makes it easier to love you unconditionally. Your heart has experienced love of all kind, you have given love, received love, hosted love for your family, friends and partners.

You are your feet — those feet that have walked hundreds of miles, walked distant places, spreading with each step your essence; your steps are firm and robust. Your feet have peregrinated in and around, made you meet new people and dwellings — your feet have traveled thousands of miles to finally meet me, meet my soul.

You are your lips, and mouth that have spoken gentle words at even the most difficult times in your life. Your lips have kissed countless of people, but among anything and anyone else, they have not only kissed mines, but also kissed my soul.

You are your pure soul that always gives the best in you. Your soul is looking for unconditional love, a complement, for a peaceful place where it can rest while you keep on doing what it’s best for you and your loved ones. Your soul longs for peace, tranquility, and someone who can unleash that vortex of love and positivism that makes you, YOU!

You are the person that brings joy and happiness together with the hardships, you are that soul that brings light into the darkness making life shine with your presence. You are a perfect combination of audacity, cheekiness, and fresh air that my life needs.

During my whole life I have searched for the peace you have brought to my life. My soul is happier just thinking about you, you are so many things, and spread so much love that I am only able to give you my unconditional love.

I have fallen in love with your gracious personality and pure soul, and also I have fallen in love with your flaws, shortcomings, and weaknesses. You are who my soul dreamed about the moment it was created and came to Earth.
